Centrale Lounge Restaurant
A hip new bar-restaurant, just steps from Piazza San Marco, boasting a futuristic design housed in a 16th-century building. For a romantic dinner, ask for a corner table overlooking the water. Refined traditional Venetian cuisine is served until late (1am).

Naranzaria - Wine Bar in Rialto

Osteria Enoteca San Marco
This elegant osteria, located a stone's throw from Piazza San Marco, is a step up in both quality and decor from many of the tourist-orientated eateries in the area. Riva Rosa Burano
Definitely the most romantic spot in the Venetian lagoon. If you visit Burano Island, famous for its colourful houses and ancient lacemaking traditions, you cannot miss Riva Rosa. Its intimate ambience and professional service is the result of its being run by four generations of one Burano family. The emphasis is on seafood and a private terrace (called "altana") overlooking the houses and surrounding canals is a delight.
