Circolo Golf Venezia
When Henry Ford, President of the world-famous motor company, arrived in Venice with his golf clubs in 1926, he was disappointed to discover that there was nowhere to play. His host, the influential Count Giuseppe Volpi di Misurata, then set about finding a suitable site and, in 1930, the Venice Golf Club was born.
Located in Alberoni, in the southern part of the Lido island, it covers 100 hectares and, being sand-based, is similar to the world-renowned Scottish links courses. With an enchanting setting bordered by ancient trees and small lakes, this 18-hole, 72-par course is considered one of the most prestigious in Italy.
The club can be reached in 40 minutes by private boat from the hotel. Please contact our concierge to organise a game, transfers and rental of equipment.
